Isn't it fun to peek into other's handbags? In New York a few years ago they hosted a charity auction, with women donating their own handbag designs or handbags (after photographing the contents). Will take a pic of mine soon.

Such an organised hand bag! i wish my purse looked as clean and new as that.
I would like to try this but i fear i wouldnt be able to fit all the objects onto the screen ha ha!

Apparently there's a lot of pink in my bag today. I played along on my blog :)

Love the concept, but I am afraid to dump my bag......
I want to take your course, Unraveling sounds delish......not sure I can do it for awhile yet. But I will.

i know you ladies love handbags, but i have no idea how you carry those thingies around all the time, i recently went from wallet to money clip and i think next i'm just going to swallow what i need for the day and regurgitate it as i need it

Susannah

we are trained from a very early age :)

oh i love peeking into handbags! when i return home and can properly load photos, i'll play along.

ps. you forgot to talk about your handbag, heehee.

charlane

these are always fun! I posted a shot on my blog, but here are the contents today.
Sony Cybershot & photocards,Cell phone, change, sad, sad, sad worn out wallet from Urban Outfitters,Mom's bracelet that I wore to church on Sunday, Flash drive, Make-up - just the essentials: powder, gloss and lipstick, Nail polish - OPI Dulce De Leche (my favorite shade), Car and House keys - red leather heart that I had forever and a silver medallion that says "home" given to me at Christmas. I'll cherish that forever as it was very meaningful to me, Sunglasses and reading glasses, Assorted pens - I love funky colored pens and Lens cloth.

I think several of us followed
today's photo adventure into
the depth of our handbags.
Amongst the usual contents
of lipstick, wallet, emergency
pads or tampon, other items
I found were a lollipop, my
small digi, a lint roller, journal,
a copy of Jhumpa Lahiri's book
Interpreter of Maladies, colored
pencils, pen, and a mini bag of
Orville Redenbacher's popcorn.
Oh! And a small chocolate egg.

I like taking a peak.....I am nosey :)

What a fun post! This concept never would have occurred to me, but I love it.

Carol

The Sorrows of an American is a good book, but I really recommend her book 'What I Loved'. It's a beautiful book.

Susannah

Amy - yes, i am :)

Carol - i agree, i loved that book too! She is a wonderfully intelligent writer

here is mine http://lafeecoriandre.blogspot.com/2009/04/inside-my-bag.html

love this idea of looking inside bags :)

Rachel B.

I swear I'd be sooo embarrassed to show the contents of my bag. Nowhere near as pretty and neat as yours!

Jennifer White

if I listed the contents of my purse, I'd take up this entire blog... seriously... carrying a huge bag right now and don't know why...everything from my phone charger to sunglasses to Chanel face powder, Dior concealer, Nars lipgloss (are you seeing a pattern of the fact that I love all things makeup?), Elph camera, 2 fountain pens... okay, I'll stop..

Congratulations on filling the class Susannah... I know I can't stop saying it, but CANNOT WAIT FOR IT TO BEGIN!
